When Wagamama, the renowned London-based ramen chain, ventured into the North American market, they entrusted Chipman Design to adapt their beloved British brand for American audiences. The bi-level restaurant, spanning 7,000 square feet with entrances on Fifth Avenue and Broadway, boasts a sleek, modern design featuring exposed brick walls, pendant lamps, and rich wood accents. Embodying Wagamama's ethos of positivity and continuous improvement, the restaurant's layout reflects the Japanese concept of Kaizen, meaning "good change." Carefully designed lighting elements such as strategic cove lighting, enhance the ambiance, creating a dynamic and inviting atmosphere for diners to enjoy Wagamama's fusion of flavors and innovative dining experience.
